Producer
Our two-day intensive Producer workshops are done in 3 phases to fit the
schedule of the working professional or the full time student who wish to learn about
all aspects of being a film producer from the creative aspect to the business component of producing a film.
Producers have the hardest job in the business. They are the ringmasters of
the production and multi-tasking should be second nature to them.
The producer’s job begins before any one else’s and ends after any one else’s.
It involves long exhaustive, sometimes thankless hours, but is also the most rewarding because at the end of the day, when all of the production work, hiring, shooting, editing, screening, and finding a distribution home for your project is done, you know that you made it happen. It was your insight that found that great screenplay, the creative director, the talented cast, and the right crew to forge your project into the masterpiece that it is.
At Academy of Film Arts, you will learn from numerous class lectures and hands-on workshops to refine the skills you have in you to be a producer.

The job of the producer is non-stop from finding that great screenplay to getting it on the screen. The producer of a film wears many hats but a great one only carries the title of Producer. He/she is the one everyone turns to for answers when things are going wrong. The producer must know what is happening on the set at all times. He/she must make sure that all of the departments are in sync with each other and that the course of the production is always moving forward and staying
within the budget.
At Academy of Film Arts, we immerse the student in learning by doing. Students will not only attend lectures given by our faculty who are always working on projects in the industry, they will work on the budgets, contracts, and forms that are needed to make a production happen and run smoothly.
